Contact Lenses

Today almost everyone can wear contact lenses!

There's an ever increasing range of lenses available to suit almost everyone from age 8 to 80+, with different lenses suiting different lifestyle requirements.

Daily disposables are ideal for everyone but may particularly appeal to people wanting the freedom from specs at those special occasions or when playing sport.

Multifocals are now available in soft, comfortable materials and are ideal for those wishing to have the same sight as many years ago.

Astigmatic correcting lenses are also available meaning astigmatism, whatever the power can NOW be corrected.

Orthokeratology - these lenses are available for a limited range of prescriptions. They are worn at night and actually reshape the cornea. This means the patient doesn't require specs or contact lenses during the day. Please contact us for further information.

Patients paying by Direct Debit for a regular supply of contact lenses including their fees obtain a 15% discount on any purchase including all spectacles or alternatively three pairs of spectacles for two (lowest priced free).

The very latest contact lenses are in Beaconsfield!

We will advise you on which of the latest lenses available suit your particular needs. Some of the lenses we can supply are listed below.

Each year we are chosen to trial new types of lenses – some that are only available to a very limited number of specialised contact lens practices in the UK.

Acuvue TruEye – the first oxygen breathing disposable 1 day lens – the healthy ultra violet absorbing soft daily contact lens.

Acuvue Oasys – the fortnightly UV absorbing lens. Can be used for very occasional overnight wear.

Air Optix Aqua single vision and Air Optix Multifocals, Air Optix Individual, Proclear Multifocals, Excel Torics, No.7 Toric, Ortho K, Royal - the soft bifocal, Presbylite 2 - the new gas permeable bifocal, CIBA Daily Progressive Multifocals, CIBA Daily Astigmatic correcting lenses, SoClear - the new comfortable Gas Permeable lens - available in single vision, astigmatism corrections, multifocals and for correcting kerataconus.

Chromagen lenses are worn to overcome colour blindness and often for those who have Miles-Irlen syndrome i.e. difficulty with reading which is helped by wearing prescribed tinted lenses.

Quasar Plus - oxygen permeable multifocal lenses; Bausch & Lomb Purevision - single vision, torics, and multifocal soft lenses.

It is almost impossible to keep our web site up to date with all the new lenses becoming available to us. Please contact us for further information.
