Jon Nesbitt BSc(Hons) OptometryOptometrist, Contact Lens practitioner

Jon took over the Practice 2 years ago, and has 20 years experience in Optometry, having worked for various companies, including Boots, where he was a Senior Optometrist and Graduate Supervisor. He is looking forward to developing the practice further, and spending many years working in Beaconsfield. Married with 2 young daughters, he plays football and squash, when he has any spare time.

Michael has been involved with contact lenses for many years and attended by invitation the first ever International Conference on soft contact lenses in Prague in 1966. He has guest lectured on contact lenses, written many papers and assisted in the writing of a book on the history of contact lenses and another on the 'Miles-Irlen Syndrome' (coloured lenses).

Michael has a strong interest in new techniques and lenses, particularly for those of us who have reading difficulties including dyslexics e.g. specialized eye exercises and the use of specially coloured lenses. He's also been known to enjoy the occasional round of golf...

Andrew qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 1984 and has worked in Practices in the city and central London.
He is married with three children and enjoys cooking and listening to music

Andrea Branscombe

Andrea has been with the practice for many years. She enjoys all work, especially with children which is inspiring her to proceed with Vision Therapy. She lives locally with her husband and two daughters and enjoys music and dancing.

Christine Wilson

Has been with the practice for over 18 years. She is constantly looking for new ideas to improve the quality and range of our service to our patients. Formally worked in the eye department at the Chiltern Hospital. She enjoys traveling especially over to her house in France.

Lisa Killick

Joined the practice full time over 10 years ago, but has decreased her hours as the family expanded. She likes to keep her brain active by quizzing with friends and enjoying Zumba.

Barbara Donovan

Barbara DonovanOptical Receptionist

Although she enjoys wearing a variety of spectacles in the practice, she is also a committed contact lens wearer for social and sport events,and so has excellent knowledge in both.This experience allows her to teach contact lens handling.


Margaret Rogers

She has been actively involved as a receptionist for more than 10 years. Working part-time allows her to pursue her leisure activities – travelling, river-cruising, reading and music.

Mary Plester

Mary PlesterVision Therapist

Mary joined us over 7 years ago. She has a C.Ed , and taught full and part time in Primary schools in Bucks and Hillingdon. She has attended many courses on Vision Therapy, the most recent being the assessment of Primitive Reflexes. She enjoys reading, sewing, playing golf and skiing with her husband and daughter.


Jane Cox

Jane recently joined the practice after a career gap to spend time at home with her two sons. She was formally head of Adult services and development for an organization in London working with people with special needs, having 25 years experience in that field. She is also a school SEND and vice chair governor for a local school
